In August 2025, MCC India and MCC Bangladesh made an explorative visit to MCC Cambodia’s Peaceful Education in Rural Primary Schools program in Prey Veng province. This learning tour was intended to promote the mutual exchange of knowledge and to share the results of MCC Cambodia’s efforts to localize the Peace Club curriculum to the Southeast Asian context and the strategies used to respond to the MCC International Peace Club Evaluation findings.

This included visiting a new partner Primary School where MCC staff are running the Peace Club during the Life Skills class, a long time partner Primary School where Teachers are now running the Peace Club independently, meeting with the Prey Veng Provincial Department of Education to learn about MCC Cambodia’s model of collaborating with the government/working in public education, and reviewing the project logframe and M&E data collection tools (such as the classroom observation rubric).

The MCC India and Bangladesh teams also visited long term MCC partner Women Peace Makers, the Killing Fields in Prey Veng province, the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh, and even the Guiness Book of World Record winning longest Dragon Boat in the World in Prey Veng province.
The MCC Representatives to India and the MCC Representative to Cambodia and Myanmar stand for a photo together at the head of longest Dragon Boat in the world. The boat was constructed using traditional methods and measures in at 87.3 m (286 ft 5 in) long. It has been the Guinness World record holder since November 2018.
