Last year we visited the Fellowship of Mennonite Churches in Taiwan to thank them for their generous donation to MCC’s earthquake response in Myanmar. While there we visited the Mennonite Christian Hospital in Hualien, Taiwan and learned from the Hospital Chaplain that they had been joining mission trips to Myanmar.

We shared that Mennonite Central Committee is partnered with Bible Missionary Church Mennonite – the Mennonite World Conference affiliated church in Myanmar – and offered to make the connection so they could meet on their next visit. We had been hoping to travel to join them in Myanmar and make the connection directly, but everything was rescheduled due to national elections and it didn’t line up.

We were happy happy with Amos Chin – President of the Mennonite Church in Myanmar – shared this photo of meeting with a delegation from the Mennonite Christian Hospital to discuss future collaboration around medical and peace missions. Please pray for the Mennonites in Myanmar, Taiwan, and around the world.
