It isn&#8217;t COVID-19, we had that back in December, but rather a more mundane illness. Actually, the December bout of COVID-19, which we suspect was the third time we had it, was milder than this respiratory illness.  Charlotte is feeling better now. Unfortunately, she shared with Crystal and I. Catherine has been resilient, which actually presents it&#8217;s own challenges since her energy level is far beyond anyone else&#8217;s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just how much energy does Catherine have after being stuck with a bunch of sick people all day?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video height=\"1920\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1080 \/ 1920;\" width=\"1080\" controls src=\"https:\/\/www.charlesconklin.com\/4cambodia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/20230226_180300.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">This much energy.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Apparently this has been going around the school and many students\/families have had it. So much that Catherine&#8217;s teacher sent out a reminder not to come to school sick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sinus pressure, sore throat, and coughing is difficult. But especially so for Crystal who &#8211; with our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlesconklin.com\/4cambodia\/2022\/baby-boy-conklin\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4066\">baby&#8217;s due date arriving soon<\/a> &#8211; is unable to take most medication to mitigate the painful and troublesome symptoms. She&#8217;s been awake many nights now coughing. The auditors are also here for the first year of our grant and we&#8217;re trying to get everything done before the baby comes, so being sick on top of those things is really not helpful at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please pray for health and healing. Especially that this will not complicate the baby&#8217;s arrival and that the baby won&#8217;t catch this after arrival. We have traumatic memories of Charlotte having extreme congestion as an infant and don&#8217;t want to repeat that experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you all!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two weeks ago, Charlotte came down with a respiratory infection.
